playing with mirrors on the garden…

i absolutely love serralves on sundays’ mornings… first because it’s a beautiful place with fabulous and peaceful gardens full of quiet and calm spots where you can just sit, read or listen to music or the birds and other animals…
you can have a nice walk too and the many huge trees will keep you safe from over heating and sunshine (today i was looking for the sunny spots as there was a gentle and cold breeze and i’m kind of a lizard and i NEED my share of warmth and sun)… last but not finish there is a free entrance to the gardens and this invites lots of people just to stroll around… oh… and you can also find lots of people taking pictures…
this place is between the house and the claes oldenburg "plantador" sculpture and is called arboreto… there are a few sculptures inside this area and there are several mirrors… these photos were experiences i made…
today i went with two cameras and i’m going to the dark room to see what i’ve got on the 2 films labeled exposed 
sorry folks…. i just can’t wait to see those 6×6 squares hanging on the door ))))

BACKSTORY: We were only scheduled to be in town for about 26 hours. And that included *two* sleeps. Combined with the SubGenius devival we were going to later that day, we really didn’t have much time to do anything. We woke up, walked around Chinatown, ate, and then headed to the Museum Of Sex to see what oddities it had to offer. Then we went straight to the SubGenius Devival in Astoria afterward.

For TOTW: Monsters in My Head
I don’t really know how this is scary, but I guess looking into a mirror and not seeing yourself for what you are could easily be considered a "monster". The shaving cream did come in handy as I needed to shave tonight, so I guess it was killing two birds with one stone.

I`ve been wanting to do a mirror shot for some time-only I don`t have any big mirrors ,unfortunately one of my long term customers posh room has been flooded and to save this recently restored mirror I did for her,I took it back into care for her until her home is fixed.

The Dungeness Mirrors – Feb 2011 – A History with Mark

BEST SEEN IN ITS ORIGINAL SIZE. If you want to read a detailed history of the Sound Mirrors that is. Me and my my friend and former colleague decided this was the place to go after seeing a piece about them on one of the BBC’s ‘Coast’ TV series.
A bit like what Dr Johnson said about the Devil’s Causeway in Northern Ireland. "Worth seeing, not worth going to see." Harsh I know, but fair. Anyway we enjoyed the day out.
