My submission for day 341/365 of the 2009 Challenge. The theme is "Mirror".
Lighting: hard key from camera left/top, softbox fill from right/below. But since this was shot against a mirror, some of the key and fill reflected back and worked as automatic rim lighting. I’m all for having to set up fewer lights!

Daily Shoot – Frames outline the focus of a subject. Make a creative photo with natural framing: windows, doors, trees, borders, etc.
I went outside to take a picture of the snowbank at the end of my driveway reflected in the side mirror of my car. Ha! No such luck! Freezing drizzle covered everything in a layer of ice. (Have I mentioned how much I’m enjoying winter?)

I am always checking my mirrors constantly. I guess its a good thing i have actually had people tell me they feel safe riding with me cause they know im paying attention…lol false sense of security.

We went to look at Anish Kapoor’s ‘Sky Mirrors’ in Kennsington gardens. Unfortunately the weather forecast was wrong and by the time we got to the park it was wet overcast and miserable. The completely white sky meant the mirrors weren’t at their best.

I saw this and thought of S Pipczynski and her Obsession with Mirrors. 
Giant mirrored ball in Bristol. Does anyone know if this does anything or if it is just to look pretty?

Boundary Waters Mirror

The final lake of our week-long paddle in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) in northern Minnesota looked like a mirror on the last evening of the trip.
